Lean and Green Summit

Superfactory is proud to be one of the sponsors of the first Lean and Green Summit, to beHomepageleaf held this July 17th in Boulder, Colorado.

Lean manufacturing at its very core seeks to eliminate waste. The U.S. EPA recognizes this and encourages lean application to environmental issues (reduce movement, energy, waste water, scrap, etc.). This is something we can ALL agree on. This is the foundation of the Lean and Green Summit. Start now with practical steps. Your company is already using lean in operations, now focus it more specifically on environmental concerns. That's the start. That's the easy part. With this as the foundation, the Summit will address the larger issues of sustainability...

  • Measurements showing if your product life cycles and operations are sustainable
  • Energy consumption cut by 1/3
  • Almost no virgin material used in production
  • Almost zero toxic releases, both in manufacturing processes and in end-of-life-products

This Summit is put on by the same fine folks that have brought us the very successful Lean Accounting Summit and TWI Summit.  Superfactory has been a regular sponsor of those events as well.

If you're interested in how lean manufacturing and green initiatives can work together, I encourage you to check out this new Summit!
