Podcast Interview

Last week our friend Mark Graban of the Lean Blog recorded a podcast of yours truly discussing various lean topics including onshoring.  This is the 20th podcast he has done, and you can see and listen to all of them on his main podcast page.

If you can understand me (it's allergy season here in California!), you'll hear us talk about various companies including American Apparel, Danaher, Avery Dennison, American Leather, and Whirlpool.  We discuss using lean manufacturing methods to create competitive advantage with factories in the U.S. instead of following the outsourcing lemmings overseas.  And we briefly discuss our book as well as the panel discussion on onshoring that I'll be moderating at the Kellogg Manufacturing Business Conference in May.
